Bengals rally falls short against Colts, 23-17

The Cincinnati Bengals fell behind, rallied back and then fell short in a 23-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

The Bengals fell behind 17-0 in the second quarter and it looked as though the game might get out of hand.

Quarterback Carson Palmer then caught fire and the defense started to settle down, allowing them to creep back into the game.

Wide receiver Chad Ocho Cinco finally broke out with seven catches for 86 yards and a touchdown. (Read More…)

Bengals can’t rally past Steelers, 27-21

The Cincinnati Bengals got off to a disastrous start and could never recover in a 27-21 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Bengals fumbled the opening kickoff, leading to a quick Pittsburgh touchdown courtesy of Rashard Mendenhall.

Just moments later, the Bengals had a punt blocked, and that lead to a Pittsburgh field goal and a 10-0 deficit.

The Bengals fell behind 27-7 in the fourth quarter but rallied for two quick touchdowns, giving them a chance to come back. (Read More…)

Bengals fall to Dolphins, 22-14

The host Cincinnati Bengals turned in a very sloppy performance in a 22-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

The game could have been worse if the Dolphins could score in the red zone or their cornerbacks could catch the ball.

Quarterback Carson Palmer’s numbers weren’t bad at the end of the game, but he is really struggling.

Way too many of Palmer’s throws are errant passes that are incomplete or land in the hands of defenders. (Read More…)

Bengals rally comes up short against Falcons, 39-32

A furious rally from the Cincinnati Bengals came upĀ  just short in a 39-32 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

The Bengals scored 22 unanswered third quarter points to actually take a one-point lead after once trailing by three touchdowns.

The lead did not last for long, though, as the Cincinnati defense was overwhelmed by Atlanta’s passing and running attack.

Quarterback Carson Palmer overcame a poor first half to throw for 412 yards and three touchdowns, which might quiet talk that his play has significantly slipped. (Read More…)
