Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones wants to show that he really is a changed man.
Jones said that his year away from football was miserable and could not put a positive spin on his time away from the game.
He was desperate for a team to take a chance on him, and he wasn’t sure that he would ever play again.
He said he no longer hangs around the people that used to put him in bad situations and cause trouble.
Jones admitted that you learn and grow as you get older, and he wants to prove that he has changed into a better person.

It should come as no surprise that the Cincinnati Bengals are showing interest in quarterback JaMarcus Russell.
Or should it? It seems almost impossible how many players with questionable character the Bengals are willing to bring in.
You would think the team would need a solid group of veterans to show the way for these troubled youngsters.
The only problem is that the team is becoming so crowded with the troubled players that they will outnumber the quality veterans.
The team is obviously looking for a successor to Carson Palmer, but I’m not sure they are going in the right direction.

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed veteran safety Gibril Wilson to a one-year contract.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
It’s the second signing in less than a week for the Cincinnati secondary, as the team also brought in Adam “Pacman” Jones.
Wilson played last year for the Miami Dolphins but was a disappointment and was cut after the season.
He was signed to a five-year deal worth $27.5 million with the Dolphins, so the team obviously wasn’t thrilled with the return on that committment.
If nothing else, he will give the Bengals added depth and a veteran presence in their secondary.

The Cincinnati Bengals have brought in trouble cornerback Pacman Jones for a second workout.
The Bengals seem to be the team most interested in Pacman’s services up to this point judging by the workouts.
Other teams have expressed interest but have not flown him in to see what he can do on the field.
Then again, it’s the off the field issues that are keeping the talented cornerback from finding a job.
The Bengals already have a couple of good cornerbacks, but Jones would give them significant depth as well.
